Support Tier List For LoL Patch 14.12: These Are The Best Supports

3. Thresh

Thresh is back to dominate the bot lane. With an incredible win rate of 50.59% he is one of the best picks in the bot lane right now.

LoL Support Tier List – These Are The Best LoL Patch 14.12 Supports (2)

Build:

Thresh should always get Locket of the Iron Solar as his first item with Knight's Vow second. After you've got the choice of either getting Frozen Heart or Zeke's Convergence.

Powerspikes:

Thresh is a pretty good pick all around, but he does become better the longer the games goes on, since he will be much tankier and can live through fights much longer. He can already be a great lane bully at level 1 with his hook.

Counters:

You should avoid picks like Zyra when playing Tresh, since she has her annoying stun and flowers, which do a lot of damage. Similarly, Thresh will also struggle against Renata Glasc and Taric.

Good Synergy:

Thresh can be paired with a lot of different champions, but he excels with traditional marksmen like Caitlyn or Jinx. Thresh will hook the enemy while the ADC gets to free hit the enemies. Nice.

2. Pyke

Pyke is an extremely powerful champ and stays in our Top 2 as the best initiator in the current meta. He currently has a solid win rate of 51.59%.

LoL Support Tier List – These Are The Best LoL Patch 14.12 Supports (3)

Build:

You will want to build Umbral Glaive first on Pyke, so your ADC will get extra damage and Lethality. With Youmuu's Ghostblade as a second item, he gains a boost in attack damage, which is always advantageous.

As a third item, you can choose depending on the situation. You can either go for Edge of Night or Axiom Arc for some added sustian.

Powerspikes:

Pyke truly shines in the mid and late game. With lots of engage tools, as well as his hook, he can carry any teamfight, and maybe get every kill.

Counters:

Maokai is one of his worst match ups. He has many stuns and also deals a lot of damage. So make sure you stay out of his range and don't get caught by his ultimate.

Good Synergy:

Pyke works great with Tristana and Karthus. Both have a huge range and deal a lot of damage. Tristana can get close to her enemies, allowing you to fight together in close combat.

However, Karthus deals incredible damage even after his death, giving you the opportunity to use your ultimate afterward.

1. Nami

Nami is one of the best champions in the game right now, and she is dominating the bot lane with a win rate of 51.43%.

LoL Support Tier List – These Are The Best LoL Patch 14.12 Supports (4)

Build:

Nami is a pure enchanter. You'll be building Imperial Mandate first for mana regeneration and slows. As a second item, you should pick up Shurelya's Battlesong to give your teammates a substantial speed boost.

Your third item can vary depending on the situation, but Ardent Censer is incredibly strong and recommended when paired with an AD bot laner.

Powerspikes:

Nami's power spike comes with her level 6. With her massive wave, she can boost all hit enemies, giving her team plenty of time to deal damage or to escape. In combination with her Q, she can execute a stun combo, immobilizing enemies for what feels like an eternity.

Counters:

Nami particularly struggles against Shaco, but then again, which champion doesn't? His annoying boxes deal immense damage, and he can also turn invisible to sneak up on you perfectly.

Good Synergy:

Nami works well with Nilah. Together, this duo can run down anyone and defeat you in both close and ranged combat. This makes them a strong duo from start to finish.

Who Are Our A-Tier Support Champions?

The A-Tier is still considered excellent. These are champions that you can easily pick and still win games. They're the ones you'll want to choose when the S Tier champions are banned. So if you want to climb solo queue, then these are some picks you'll want to pick up this patch.

There are also enchanters available though with Sona and Jenna, so pick what you want.

Who Are Our B-Tier Support Champions?

The B-Tier consists of champions that are good, but won't have as much strength as either the A- or S-Tier — obviously. These are picks you can choose in specific match ups, but we suggest making sure you master the champion before choosing them.

Who Are Our F-Tier Support Champions?

These are the picks we advise you to forget about this patch. Either their win rates are abysmal or they were nerfed in the patch. So make sure to avoid picking these champions at all costs.

Champion

Pick Rate

Hwei45.09%1.89%

Pantheon

Especially low MMR players should not touch any of these champions. While picks like Hwei look fun, they're difficult to maneuver and take time to master. So please practice ahead of your ranked games.

Make sure to never be that cruel to your ADC to pick one of these, and you'll climb.

These are the best support champions in LoL Patch 14.12. What do you think? Did we place your fave champion too low… or maybe even too high?
